DILLON-- Cold shooting for Montana Tech and a hot hand from Western's Shyke Smalls doomed the Orediggers as they fell 88-67 to the Bulldogs in Dillon Thursday night.
The Diggers struggled to find a rhythm on the floor shooting just 36.9 percent from the floor and allowed the Bulldogs to hit 13 threes on the night.
Montana Tech was led in scoring by
Chris O'Neill who notched 13 points.
John Chapman had 12 points and
Lukas Vining added 11 for the Diggers.
Sadiq Inuwa added 10 points and six rebounds while
Carson Dummer led the Diggers with nine rebounds.
Montana Tech falls to 6-8 overall and 0-4 in Frontier Conference play.
The Orediggers travel to Billings on Saturday to take on Rocky Mountain College at 7:30 P.M. in the Fortin Center.
