BUTTE, Mont. – The Montana Tec women's basketball team opened the 2017-18 season with a hefty win over Yellowstone Christian College 103-32.
Kaylynn Coverdell didn't miss a shot from the field leading the Orediggers with 16 points. The junior guard went 6-for-6 and hit 2 of 2 from three point range. She only missed a free throw going 1-for-2 from the line. Coverdell also had seven rebound and five steals.
Sophomore center
Shay Potter also put up perfect numbers going 5-for-5 from field for 10 points. Potter added seven rebounds.
Sammy McGree was the only other Digger in double digits with 10 points and three rebounds.
Kaylee Zard put in nine points and finished with a game-high 10 rebounds.
Hannah Sparks and
Kourtney Coverdell had nine points apiece.
Montana Tech is home again next Thursday when they host Northwest Indian College.
