LEWISTON, Idaho- The Montana Tech Lady Orediggers defeated College of Idaho 77-48 on Friday afternoon in Lewiston, Idaho.
The Orediggers (6-0) used three double-digit scorers to outpace College of Idaho. The Diggers led 35-27 at the halftime thanks to a 25-point second quarter.
Montana Tech received 18 points and nine rebounds from sophomore center
Shay Potter and 17 points from
Sammy McGree. Potter was an efficient 7-for-10 from the floor and McGree was a perfect 8-for-8.
Kaylee Zard recorded a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.Â
Montana Tech shot 51 percent from the floor for the contest and scored 40 points in the paint.
The Diggers held College of Idaho to 37 percent shooting and forced the Yotes into 20 turnovers.
Montana Tech plays Eastern Oregon University at 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon to conclude the tournament hosted by Lewis-Clark State.
