BUTTE-- The No. 17 Montana Tech Orediggers defeated Montana Western in straight sets Thursday night, 25-17, 25-20, and 25-16.
The Diggers jumped out to to an early advantage thanks to the high hitting performances of
Masha Korol and
Angela Molesworth who combined for 26 kills.
Nicole Peacock added nine kills while Gena McMillen tallied seven. Hailey Druyvestein was a perfect 6-for-6 on attacks.
Peacock hit for a .533 clip and Korol hit for .448 in the match.
Tori Chelini and
Kamaile Moody tallied 20 and 19 assists to lead Montana Tech.
Sabrina Hopcroft had 12 digs for the Tech defense.
Montana Tech hit for a .412 average in the match.
Montana Tech improves to 11-5 overall and 4-0 in Frontier Conference play.
The Diggers host Rocky Mountain College Saturday night at 7PM MST.
