BUTTE, Mont. – Montana Tech snapped a six-match losing streak defeating Montana State Northern 25-18, 25-17, 25-19.

The Orediggers (13-13, 5-3) get back to .500 with the victory as the Skylights (1-18, 0-7) stay winless in conference action.

Karina Mickelson led the Diggers with 14 of the teams 25 kills. Mickelson hit .273 in the match with just five errors on 33 swings. She had 12 digs and was in on four blocks.

Heather Thompson had no errors and 9 kills hitting .692.

Northern had 23 kills in the match getting blocked 11 times by Tech.

The Orediggers return to action next Thursday in Dillon at Montana Western.
