Box Score BILLINGS, Mont. – The Rocky Mountain Battlin' Bears overcame a slow start defeating Montana Tech 16-25, 26-24, 25-22, 25-16.
The Orediggers (14-14, 6-4) drop their second match to Rocky Mountain this season.
Montana Tech hit 0.357 in the first set while Rocky was in the negative -0.063. The Orediggers continued to outhit the Bears 55-40 in the match and finished with a better hitting percentage 0.130 to 0.096.
The Diggers committed 30 hitting errors in the four sets.
Masha Korol and
Karina Mickelson had match-highs with 16 kills apiece.
Heather Thompson had 11 kills committing just one error and finished with a 0.500 hitting percentage.
Sabrina Hopcroft had a match-high 41 digs.
Hailey Copinga led the Bears with 15 kills.
Montana Tech returns to Butte on Wednesday when they host Carroll College.
