BUTTE, Mont. – Montana Tech's season comes to an end at the hands of the University of Providence in the Frontier Conference Tournament 25-22, 25-18, 21-25, 25-19.
Both teams played solid offense with each team hitting over .200. Providence had the edge in kills 54-48.
Masha Korol led the Diggers with 19 kills while committing just one error. The senior outside hitter finished with a staggering .409 hitting percentage.
Providences' top hitters turned in great performances as well. Kelsey Shaver had a match-high 22 kills posting a .475 hitting percentage. Sydney Andersen had 17 kills and a .286 hitting percentage.
Karina Mickelson added nine kills and
Kacee James had seven.
Sabrina Hopcroft had a match-high 24 digs.
The Orediggers finish the season with a 17-15 overall record.
