BUTTE, Mont. – No. 24 Montana Western jumped out early and kept Montana Tech at bay for a 67-56 victory Thursday night.
The Bulldogs jumped out early with efficient three point shooting. Western connected on 8 of 11 from long in the first half taking a 42-27 lead into the locker room.
Western's Briann King had 28 points on the night with 17 coming in the first half.
The Orediggers could not get back into the game after halftime despite Western cooling off going 0 for 7 from three point range. Tech shot 33.8 percent from the field on the night hitting just 4 of 17 from beyond the arc.

Shay Potter stood out for the Oreiggers again with a double-double. The sophomore hit 9 of 10 from the field netting 20 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Potter also had a pair of blocks and steals.
Kaylee Zard had 8 points and 3 rebounds.
Britt Cooper finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
Montana Tech is home again tomorrow night when they host the Lewis-Clark State Warriors.
