Box Score BUTTE, Mont. – No. 7 College of Idaho and No. 14 Montana Tech traded blows for five sets before the Yotes finished off the Orediggers 18-25, 25-21, 25-23, 19-25, 15-11.

Montana Tech jumped out first winning the first set. College of Idaho rallied back from a deficit in the second set to take the frame. The Yotes took a 2-1 lead winning the third set.

The Orediggers evened the match in the fourth.

The fifth stayed even until the teams switched sides as the Yotes took a 7-6 lead. College of Idaho won the five straight points to go up 11-6. Tech battled back to 14-11 before the Yotes scored the final point of the match.

Karina Mickelson led the attack for the second straight match with a match-high 21 kills and posted 14 digs.

Masha Korol had 14 kills and just three errors hitting .268.  

Sabrina Hopcroft had 27 digs.

Taylor Alexander led the Yotes with 14 kills and 18 digs.

The Orediggers face Northwest University and University of California Merced on the final day of the Big Sky Volleyball Challenge tomorrow.
