BUTTE, Mont. – The Orediggers overcame a slow start to defeat Northwest University 10-25, 25-19, 25-15, 25-13.
Montana Tech won three straight sets after dropping the first frame. The Orediggers had 6 kills and 10 errors in the first frame. Tech bounced back and finished with 44 kills and hit .214 for the match.
Northwest finished with 32 kills hitting just .080 in the match.
Senior
Masha Korol led the Orediggers with 14 kills hitting .353 in the match.
Karina Mickelson had 11 kills.
Sabrina Hopcroft had 20 digs.
Montana Tech (4-3) wins their second match of the Big Sky Volleyball Challenge and are now 2-1 for the two-day tournament. The Orediggers finish the weekend against University of California Merced tonight at 5 p.m.
