BUTTE, Mont.- The Montana Oredigger volleyball team fell to No. 20 University of Providence in four sets on Friday night, 28-26, 25-17, 24-26, 25-19.
The No. 16 Orediggers struggled to contain the Argos at the net as UP hit for a .243 clip. The Diggers hit for just a .165 average in the match.Â
Montana Tech was led in Kills by
Maureen Jessop (18),
Karina Mickelson (18), and
Gena McMillan (15) while Providence's Kelsey Shaver had 26 kills.
Kamaile Moody and
McKenna Kaelber combined for 49 assists while
Sabrina Hopcroft led the way defensively with 39 digs.
Montana Tech falls to 19-6 overall and 4-3 in conference play. The Diggers travel to MSU-Northern next Thursday to take on the Skylights in the Armory Gymnasium at 7 P.M.
