HAVRE, Mont.- The No. 18 Montana Tech Orediggers defeated MSU-Northern in straight sets on Thursday night in the Armory Gymnasium (25-20, 25-16, 25-16).
The Orediggers outhit the Skylights .261 to .078 at the net on the evening and hit for a .300 clip in the first set. Montana Tech registered 61 kills while limiting Northern to just 30. The Diggers tallied 11 blocks defensively against the Skylights.
Montana Tech had three players in double-digits for kills led by
Maureen Jessop (13),
Karina Mickelson (13), and
Gena McMillan (10).
McKenna Kaelber led all players with 34 assists.
The Orediggers (20-6, 5-3 conf.) picked up their twentieth victory of the season, the progam's third in the last four seasons under Coach
Brian Solomon.
Montana Tech hosts Montana Western next Wednesday at 7 P.M. on Kelvin Sampson Court.
