GREAT FALLS, Mont.- After dropping a marathon first set, the Oredigger volleyball team couldn't recover and lost to No. 19 University of Providence in straight sets.
The Orediggers (25-7) battled back and forth in the opening set against the Argos, eventually falling 33-31 to the host school.
Montana Tech hit for a .164 clip at the net while the Argos hit for a .310 efficiency on attacks.
Gena McMillan led the Orediggers with 11 kills while
McKenna Kaelber chipped in 35 assists and
Sabrina Hopcroft added 15 digs. The Argos' Jensyn Turner had 15 kills to lead the match.
Montana Tech is still alive for a berth in the NAIA National Volleyball Tournament in Sioux City, Iowa starting December 5th. The NAIA tournament will be announced from the national offices on Monday.
