Box Score CHANDLER, Ariz.- Montana Tech picked up their third win in a row defeating Northern New Mexico 77-36 in the Phoenix Frontier Classic on Thursday night.
The Orediggers (11-2) jumped out to an early 18-9 advantage and never looked back. Montana Tech shot 50% from the field in the first half and led 39-14 at halftime.
Once again Montana Tech's balanced scoring helped the Orediggers notch another victory with four players scoring in double figures.
Mesa Williams led all scorers with 19 markers on 8-for-13 shooting.
Tavia Rooney notched her seventh double-double of the year scoring 16 and grabbing 11 boards.
Mollie Peoples scored 12 on four made threes and
Dani Urick chipped in 11.
The Eagles shot just 20.7% from the floor and Destiny Wilkerson was the lone player in double figures with 11.
Montana Tech plays No. 16 Our Lady of the Lakes on Friday at 6 p.m. MST.
