CHANDLER, Ariz. - The Montana Tech Orediggers saw their three game win streak snapped as they fell to No. 16 Our Lady of the Lakes on Friday night in their final game of the Phoenix Frontier Classic.
The Orediggers (11-3) had another impressive offensive night with four double digit scorers in
Mesa Williams (21pts),
Tavia Rooney (14pts),
Kaylee Zard (13pts), and
Dani Urick (11pts). Rooney earned her eighth double-double of the year with a 15 rebound performance in 33 minutes of action.
The Orediggers, who trailed 41-40 at the halftime break, shot 44% from the floor while OLLU was held to 37% shooting. OLLU was led in scoring by Lena Wilson who scored 29 points.
Montana Tech returns to action after the holiday when they play Rocky Mountain College in Billings on Jan. 9th.
