BUTTE – Montana Tech finished undefeated at the Big Sky Volleyball Challenge defeating Valley City State University in three sets 25-13, 2624, 25-17.

The Orediggers (7-1) increased their win streak to five straight matches in early season action.

Montana Tech had a team hitting percentage of .158 and finished with 35 kills. The Vikings had 24 kills in the match. The Orediggers finished with 12 total blocks.

Maureen Jessop continued her consistent solid play over the last few matches leading the Orediggers with eight kills and .160 hitting percentage.

Karina Mickelson and Taylor Henley added six kills each. Henley also had a pair of solo blocks.

Montana Tech travels to Bellevue, Nebraska next week for the GoSarpy.com Labor Day Classic hosted by Bellevue University. The Orediggers face another Top 25 opponent No.
