BILLINGS, Mont.- Montana Tech extended their 4-game winning streak defeating Rocky Mountain College 73-59 on Saturday night.
The Orediggers (18-11, 10-8 Conf.) finished the Frontier Conference regular season in commanding fashion and will host MSU-Northern in the Frontier Conference Playoffs on Tuesday night.
Taylor England had a record breaking performance to lead the Orediggers hauling in a single-game record 22 rebounds. England's 22 boards bested the previous record of 18 set by Jake Williams in 2007. The junior added 11 points and 2 assists in the complete effort.
Leading the way in scoring,
Sindou Diallo tossed in 22 points while
Dylan Pannabecker added 20.
Troy Owens Jr. scored 8,
Drew Huse scored 4,
Christian Jones and
Connor Kieckbusch added 3 apiece, and
Cody Baumstarck scored 2 points.
Montana Tech shot 48.3% from the floor and held Rocky to just 31.4% shooting on the night. Clayton Ladine led the Battlin' Bears with 22 points.
Montana Tech will host MSU-Northern in the Frontier Conference playoffs on Tuesday night.
