BUTTE, Mont.- Sindou Diallo tied his career high with another 35 point output on Sunday afternoon as the Diggers defeated Rocky Mountain College, 87-69.
Montana Tech (5-4, 5-2 Conf.) set the pace early in the contest and grew their lead to as much as 17 points in the first stanza before taking a 40-32 halftime advantage. Montana Tech was firing on all cylinders early as they shot 60.4% for the contest and 44.9% from downtown.
Diallo's 35 points led the Diggers as the guard finished the contest 13-for-19 from the floor and 3-for-5 from downtown. Diallo added five rebounds, three assists, and three steals to his statline.
Bridger Larson scored 10,
Derrius Collins and
Christian Jones added eight,
Markieth Brown Jr. and
Drew Huse tallied six, and
Cody Baumstarck scored five.
Nate Ward added four points,
Keeley Bake scored three, and
Bridger Deden added two.
Rocky finished the game shooting 34.7% and were led in scoring by Darius Henderson's 21 points.
The Diggers extend their winning streak against the Battlin' Bears to six games.
Montana Tech takes on MSU-Northern on Saturday at 7 p.m. in Havre.
