BUTTE, Mont. – Elementary students in Butte will have the opportunity to walk to school with Montana Tech student-athletes this Wednesday on October 6^th. Montana Tech athletics is encouraging elementary students to walk to school to promote fitness.

Montana Tech students will be at designated meeting spots that students can be dropped off at. At these locations, Oredigger student-athletes in uniform will walk to school with the students forming a "Walking School Bus" picking up students along the way.

Pick up times and maps for each school were sent to out to the students through the schools. Times and maps can also be found on GoDiggers.com.

The Walk to School event is sponsored by Horizon Credit Union. Students receive t-shirts courtesy of Horizon Credit Union and Montana Tech.
