HELENA, Mont. – Carroll College upset No. 15 Montana Tech volleyball in the semifinals of the Frontier Conference Tournament 3-1. The final score was 25-18, 17-25, 26-24, 25-21.
The Orediggers (21-9) were facing the Saints for the fourth time this season. Tech had won the previous three matches.
The Saints had a slight edge in kills 53-52 and hit for .211 in the match.
Karina Mickelson led the Orediggers with 14 kills hitting .312 in the match. Mickelson had a match high five blocks.
Maureen Jessop had 13 kills hitting .357.
McKenna Kaelber had 45 assists.
Sarah Hopcroft had 22 digs.
Taylor Henley had 10 kills and just one error hitting .409. Henley had four blocks.
Katherine McEuen led the Saints with 14 kills and just one error hitting .361 in the match.
Lexie Gleasman had 13 kills and hit .303.
The Orediggers now wait for the NAIA National Tournament announcement on Monday.
