BUTTE, Mont. – Montana Tech ended the season and Senior Day in big way. The Oredigger defense pitched a shutout and the offense rolled downing MSU-Northern 41-0.
The Oredigger defense held the Lights to just 146 yards of offense. Tech had four sacks and three takeaways that included a pick-six late in the fourth quarter.
The Lights were just 5 of 19 on third downs as the Orediggers forced the Lights to punt ten times in the game.
The Orediggers had 428 yards of offense led by the running game.
Blake Counts finished with 147 yards on 13 attempts. Senior
Tyler Folkes rushed 18 times for 74 yards and a touchdown.
Tech used two quarterbacks with redshirt freshmen
Cade Wyant and
Jake Standlee splitting snaps. Wyant went 8 for 13 with 113 yards and a touchdown and Standlee was 8 of 14 with 77 yards and two scores.
Trevor Hoffman had four catches for 92 yards and a 34-yard touchdown.
Kiley Caprara caught four passes for 51 yards and a 17-yard touchdown.
Kyle Torgerson also caught four passes and finished with 28 yards and a touchdown.
Kicker
Ryan Lowry connected on a 34 and a season long 47-yard field goals.
Senior
Bridger Johnson had two sacks and 3.5 tackles for a loss while forcing a fumble. Johnson finished Senior day with seven tackles.
Naoki Harmer led the team with eight tackles, two pass breakups, and recovered a fumble.
Zach Trumble had 1.5 sacks and six tackles. Senior Logan Kolodejchuck was in on one of the sacks with Trumble and finished with five tackles.
Senior
Spencer Schock had five tackles and an interception.
Cade Wyant finished is breakout season with the 42-yard pick six to finish the game.

Kyle Samson finish the 2021 season with a 5-5 record.
