ASHLAND, Oregon – Montana Tech held on to win their second game at the Flagship Inn Tournament downing Oregon Tech 71-65.

The Orediggers (6-2) win their third straight game.

Tech jumped out early with a 12-0 lead in the opening minutes of the game. The Owls used a 19-2 run when the Orediggers went cold to get back into the game. Oregon Tech led 27-26 at the break.

The Orediggers mounted an offensive run again in the second leading by as many as nine.

Tech shot 52.9 percent from the field in the second half and finished the game shooting 45.5 percent.

The Owls outrebounded the Orediggers 50-35.

The Owls Garret Albrecht led the game with 27 points and 17 rebounds.

Caleb Bellach led the Orediggers with 15 points and seven rebounds. Bellach shot 6 of 14 from the field and hit 2 of 6 from long.

Sindou Diallo had 14 points, four rebounds, and six assists.

Drew Huse had nine points, four rebounds, and four assists.

Cody Baumstarck had 10 points and four rebounds coming off the bench. Camdyn LaRance had nine points.

The Orediggers are back home Tuesday when they host Yellowstone Christian.
