BUTTE, Mont. – No. 17 Montana Tech got their 20
th win of the season sweeping Montana Western 25-23, 25-20, 25-21.
The Orediggers (20-8, 6-3) win their third straight match.
Tech won at the net with 40 kills to 34 by Western. The Orediggers finished with a .212 hitting percentage while the Bulldogs hit for .089.
The Orediggers had five service aces and seven total blocks.
Olivia Muir led the Orediggers with 10 kills hitting for .176 and a block.
Karina Mickelson had nine kills hitting for .286.
Maureen Jessop finished with eight kills.
Taylor Henley had eight kills and just one hitting error finishing with a .389 hitting percentage. Henley also had four blocks.
McKenna Kaelber had 25 assists.
Sarah Hopcroft had 17 digs and two aces.
Danyel Martin led the Bulldogs with eight kills and Emmah Peterson had seven.
Montana Tech wraps up the Frontier Conference regular season on Friday. The Orediggers travel north to Havre to face Montana State Northern.
