DICKINSON, N.D. – Montana Tech men's basketball needed overtime to top Dickinson State 71-64.
The Blue Hawks Ashanti Potts-Woods hit a three pointer to go ahead 56-53 with 26 seconds left in the game.
Keeley Bake was fouled on a three-point attempt sending him to the line with 11 seconds to go. Bake hit all three free throws pushing the game into overtime.
The Orediggers (10-3, 2-0) outlasted the Blue Hawks in the extra period to win their third straight game.
Derrius Collins led the Orediggers with 15 points going 6 for 9 from the field and 2 for 4 from beyond the arc. Collins also had five rebounds.
Caleb Bellach had 13 points and five rebounds.
Sindou Diallo had 11 points and seven boards.
Drew Huse had 10 points hitting 2 of 3 from deep.
Cody Baumstarck had 10 rebounds and five points.
Potts-Woods had 22 points and Bryce Knox finished with 17.
Montana Tech is on the road next week for a pair of games in Arizona.
