Orediggers Down Sky Lights 71-61

Box Score HAVRE, Mont. – Montana Tech women's basketball earned their first conference victory downing Montana State Northern 71-61 at the Armory. 

The Orediggers (10-10, 1-4) get back to .500 overall and the Sky Lights stay winless in Frontier Conference play. 

After going into the locker room tied at 25 at halftime, the Orediggers outscored the Sky Lights 46-36 in the second half. 

The Orediggers shot 43.1% from the field and hit 7 of 18 from beyond the arc. 

Brooke Heggie led the Orediggers with 19 points and finished with seven rebounds. 

Tavia Rooney and Dani Urick netted 14 points apiece. Rooney had a game-high eight rebounds and Urick had five assists. 

Mollie Peoples went 2 for 5 from long and finished with 12 points. 

L'Tia Lawrence led the Sky Lights with 21 points and five rebounds. Peyton Kehr had 19 points and six rebounds. 

The Orediggers return home to host No. 24 Montana Western Saturday at 2 p.m.
