HELENA, Mont. – Montana Tech lost their second match to the Carroll College Fighting Saints for the second time this weekend losing in three sets 25-22, 29-27, 25-17.
The Orediggers (4-6) kept the match close in the first set taking a lead 22-21, but the Saints answered back with four straight points to take the set.
Both squads went back and forth during the second frame taking the set into extra time before the Saints took the set after a pair of hitting errors by the Orediggers.
The Orediggers led in kills 41-39 but committed 25 hitting errors to just 14 from the Saints.
Maureen Jessop led the Orediggers with 12 kills, but hit .070 for the match.
Karina Mickelson had 10 kills,
Sydney Parks and
Taylor Henley had 7 each.
Lexi Mikkelson had 10 kills for the Saints.
Montana Tech returns home next weekend when they host Rocky Mountain College.
