HAVRE, Mont. – Montana Tech men's basketball had the hot hand and move ahead of Montana State Northern in the Frontier Conference standings downing the Lights 75-66.
The Orediggers led 38-29 at halftime.
The Lights pulled within three points twice in the second half, but the Orediggers stopped the rally in the final two minutes.
Tech shot a blazing 59.6% in the game with 40 points coming in the paint and 17 off the bench. The Orediggers led the rebounding effort 32-25.
Sindou Diallo and
Caleb Bellach had 16 points each.
Taylor England finished with 13 points and
Keeley Bake had 10 off the bench.
Derrius Collins led the Orediggers with six rebounds.
Jesse Keltner led Northern with 18 points and nine rebounds.
Montana Tech (15-5, 4-1) return to Butte this weekend hosting Montana Western at 4 p.m. Saturday.
