Box Score HELENA, Mont. – The Montana Tech men's basketball team came up just short against No. 2 Carroll College 80-78.
The Orediggers trailed by 11 with 3:37 to go but slowly chipped away in the final minutes.
Tech (13-5, 2-1) dropped their first conference game against one of the top ranked teams in the country.
The Orediggers shot 45.5% from the field and hit 6 of 13 from three.
The Saints bench scored 43 and the team finished shooting 50% on the night.
Sindou Diallo led the Orediggers with 18 points.
Taylor England finished with nine points and seven rebounds.
Caleb Bellach had nine points and six rebounds.
Drew Huse also had nine points.
Montana Tech travels to Providence this Saturday.
