BUTTE- No.19 Montana Tech defeated the Battlin' Bears of Rocky Mountain College in straight sets on Saturday night.
The Diggers blasted the Battlin' Bears 25-21, 25-16, 25-19 to improve to 15-6 overall and 3-0 in Frontier Conference play.
Montana Tech outhit Rocky in each of the three sets hitting for a .235, a .324, and a .375 clip for an overall .304 percentage for the match.
Montana Tech was led at the net by
Olivia Muir's 17 kills, while
Taylor Henley and
Maureen Jessop combined for 18 kills. Henley led the Diggers with 4.0 blocks while
McKenna Kaelber had 41 assists. Olivia Caddy had 21 digs for Montana Tech.
Rocky's Bella Bryan had 10 kills to lead their team.
Montana Tech hosts Montana Western next Wednesday at 7 P.M. at Kelvin Sampson Court for another Frontier Conference match.
