WALLA WALLA, Wash. – Montana Tech women's basketball finished their weekend win at Walla Walla University. The Orediggers downed the Huskies 78-66.
The Orediggers (2-2) outpaced the Huskies leading 43-30 at halftime.
Tech had the hot hand shooting 54.5% from the field in the game. The Orediggers had the advantage coming off the bench outscoring the Huskies 24-5.
Tavia Rooney led the Orediggers with 20 points going 9 of 16 from the field. Rooney finished with seven rebounds, three assists, and two blocks.
Aubrie Rademacher went 5 for 9 from the field with 15 points. Rademacher shot 2 for 2 from behond the arc and 3 for 4 from the free throw line.
Dani Uric had 12 points.
Jailiya Casem led Walla Walla with 26 points shooting 10 of 20 from the field and 4 for 6 from beyond the arc.
Montana Tech stays on the road next weekend traveling to Caldwell, Idaho for the Best Western Inn and Suites Classic hosted by the College of Idaho. The Orediggers face Eastern Oregon Friday before playing the Yotes on Saturday.
