HELENA, Mont. – In a battle for the Frontier Conference regular season title, Carroll College slowed Montana Tech's momentum defeating the Orediggers 80-66.
The No. 11 Saints (25-3, 11-2) end the No. 14 Orediggers (23-5, 11-2) win streak at nine games. The Saints have won two of the three meetings with the Orediggers this season.
The Orediggers trailed just 32-31 going into halftime. In the second half, the Saints went 21 for 31 from the field.
Tech was outrebounded 28-20 in the game.
Caleb Bellach had 16 points and
Sindou Diallo finished with 13.
Keeley Bake hit 4 of 5 from beyond the arc and finished with 16 points and five rebounds.
Brendan Temple had 16 of his 18 points in the second half.
Shamrock Campbell finished with 17 points. Jovan Sljivncnin finished with 11 points and nine rebounds.
Montana returns home Saturday when they host Providence.
