Orediggers Go 1-1 on Second Day at Electric City Invite

GREAT FALLS, Mont. – Montana Tech dropped their second match at the Electric City Invite to Arizona Christian 3-1. 

The Orediggers (3-3) lost the first set in extra time and won the second frame to even up the match. Tech lost the last two sets to the Firestorm with a final 26-28, 25-21, 23-25, 21, 25.

The Firestorm had 52 kills to 39 by the Orediggers. Tech hit for .053 while Arizona Christian finished with a .115 hitting percentage. 

Taylor Henley and Kinnidi Willmore had 10 kills each. Maureen Jessop finished with nine kills. Henley had six blocks to lead the Oredigges. 

Jalena Jablanov had 35 digs in the match. 

Brittinie Henige led the Firestorm with 15 kills. 



Montana Tech 3 The Masters 0

GREAT FALLS, Mont. -  The Orediggers finished the Electric City Invite with a sweep of The Masters winning 25-11, 25-15, 25-23. 

Montana Tech (4-3) finished the tournament going 1-2. 

The Orediggers had 37 kills and their best hitting percentage of the season hitting for .300 finishing with just four hitting errors in the match. 

The Masters had 33 kills and hit .074 in the match. 

Maureen Jessop led the Orediggers with nine kills and Olivia Muir had seven. 

Taylor Henley had six kills and seven blocks. 

Jessica Swenning led The Masters with nine kills and a .154 hitting percentage. 

Montana Tech (4-3) travels to Bellevue, Nebraska next week for the Bellevue Invitational.
