VANCOUVER, Wash.- The Montana men's Cross-Country team finished the NAIA National Championships in 25
th place.
Individually, the Orediggers were led by All-American
Justin Morgan who finished 33rd with a time of 25:31.9. The top 40 runners are named to the All-America team.
Edwin Kipainoi crossed in 105
th, with a time of 26:18.8.
Derek Schultz finished strong to cross in 130
th, Benjamin Zerr finished at 27:04.6 which was good for 202
nd,
River Sheppard finished at 267,
Jacob Sriraman at 292, and
Jon Hansen at 303.
The individual champion is Jackson Wilson from Rocky Mountain College who dominated the final kilometer to win by nine seconds (24:31.8) over Joseph Skoog from Bethel (Tenn.) who placed second and Emad Bashir-Mohammed from St. Mary (Kan.) rounds out the top three.
The team championship goes to Milligan who tallied 91 points, St. Mary (Kan.) was second with 94, and Cumberlands takes third with 110 points.
Rocky Mountain was the highest-placing Frontier team, finishing in 18
th place, with 472 points, Carroll followed in 20
th.
