BUTTE, Mont. – The Montana Tech Oredigger football team has fought the cold, rain, and snow this spring, but football practice prevailed during the extended weather of winter. The Oredigger football team wraps up spring practices with the Montana Tech Spring Game this Friday.

The intersquad scrimmage is open to the public on Bob Green Field at Alumni Coliseum. The Orediggers start at 5 p.m. concluding their spring practices in an informal 11-on-11 scrimmage honing their skills this offseason in preparation for next fall.

Montana Tech Athletics and the Digger Athletic Association host the Miners Ball Saturday. The annual auction and fundraiser support Oredigger student-athletes, programs, and athletic endowment. The event is the biggest fundraiser of the year for Tech athletics including a silent auction and live auction as well as some fun surprises for attendees. Tickets and tables are still available and can be purchased at the event. Doors open at 5 p.m. with the live auction starting at 7:30.
