Box Score PRESCOTT, Ariz.- Day two of the Orediggers trip through Arizona brought them to Prescott and a date with the Eagles of Embry-Riddle University. It was the Eagles night, as they took the home win over Montana Tech 3-1 (18-25, 25-21, 17-25, 25-27)
Montana Tech scored the first point in the match on an attack error. Unfortunately for the Diggs, they would never expand that lead above one point. Four times in the first set, Montana Tech grabbed a one-point lead, but they were unable to push ahead and get the win.
Embry-Riddle would mark 10 kills in the first set, and Emma Barber would count for seven of those. The Eagles would hit .160, while the Orediggers would come in at .080.

Embry would creep out to a 13-9 lead before Coach Solomon called a timeout to regroup. The Eagles would then push the lead to six (17-11). That lead would never decrease, as the Eagles put the third set away 25-17.
One of the biggest discrepancies over the first three sets is blocks. The Eagles battered 11 blocks, while the Orediggers accounted for five.
The fourth set was a seesaw battle, the lead never more than one point, until the Eagles went up 13-11. The first run of the fourth was driven by the Eagles. Leading 15-14 the Eagles would go on a 5-0 run.
Montana Tech wasn't done.
The Orediggers would scrape their way into a 24-all tie. After a pair of sideouts, the teams were tied at 25. That would be as close as Tech would get. Emma Barber would get a kill to put the Eagles up by one, and then an attack error would give Embry-Riddle the win 3-1.
Olivia LaBeau led the Diggs with 13 kills, and freshman
Piper Jette reached double digits with 10.
Setter
