CHANDLER, Ariz. -- Michael Ure had 21 points and seven rebounds,
Brayden Koch added 15 points and three assists, and the No. 6-ranked Montana Tech men's basketball team remained unbeaten with a 75-69 win over No. 4 Arizona Christian at the Coyote Classic.
The duo led five Orediggers in double-digit scoring.
Ifeanyi Okeke logged 13 points, four rebounds, and four blocks;
Keeley Bake scored 11 points to go with eight assists; and
Hayden Diekhans had 10 points and eight boards.
Tech used hot shooting on the road to victory. The Orediggers were 50 percent (27-for-54) from the field and a scalding 44 percent (11-for-25) from 3-point land.
It was a back-and-forth ballgame early on, featuring nine lead changes and two ties, but Montana Tech took advantage of a 14-0 run late in the first half to gain ground. Tech led 37-32 at the half.
After halftime, Arizona Christian ate into the lead. The Firestorm eventually claimed the lead with 9:18 remaining, but Tech had the answer. A Diekhans layup put the Diggers in front for good at the 3:39 mark, sparking a 7-0 run that sealed the deal.
Montana Tech will continue its Arizona roadtrip Tuesday with another top-10 matchup. The Orediggers will take on No. 9-ranked The Master's at 2 p.m. at Chandler-Gilbert Community College.
