BUTTE, Mont. – Montana Tech women's basketball couldn't find their rhythm on offense falling to Rocky Mountain 50-38.
The Orediggers (12-13, 3-8) only hit double-digit points in the final quarter with 12. Tech went 5 for 26 from the floor in the first half and picked it up in the second finishing with a 22.6% shooting percentage. The Orediggers went 1 for 18 from beyond the arc.
The Bears (15-9, 3-8) shot slightly better finished with a 31.6% shooting percentage and hit 5 of their 30 three-point attempts.
The Bears outrebounded the Orediggers 39-27. Rocky was strong in the paint with 28 points and 11 on a second chance.
Aubrie Rademacher had 10 points and 9 rebounds. Rademacher hit the lone three-pointer and went 4 for 10 from the field.
Macy Mayer had all 10 points for the Oredigger bench. Mayer went 6 for 8 from the free throw line and 2 for 4 from the field. Mayer finished with 4 rebounds and a pair of steals.
Soda Rice had 6 points and 3 rebounds.
Morgan Baird and Brenna Linse had 13 points and 11 rebounds each.
Montana Tech finishes the home schedule on Saturday when they host No. 8 Carroll College. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. on Kelvin Sampson Court.
