BUTTE, Mont. -- Three Montana Tech women's basketball scored in double figures, helping the Orediggers to a 67-59 Frontier Conference win over MSU-Northern Thursday evening on Kelvin Sampson Court.

Hadley Humphreys led the Orediggers with 16 points, while Liv Wangerin added 12 points and Macy Mayer chipped in 10 to aid in the victory.

The visiting Skylights started out hot, taking a 14-13 lead after the first period and shooting nearly 50 percent from the field as a team. Humphreys kept Tech (13-6, 4-2 Frontier) in the game, scoring six of her 16 in the quarter.

The Orediggers took control in the second quarter, rolling to a 21-9 run. Mayer scored six in the period to help Tech to a 34-23.

Tech held onto the lead throughout the second half, but the Skylights (10-9, 1-5) cut the lead to as few as three in the late going. Avery Carlson helped the Diggers seal the win, though, making all four free-throw attempts in the final minute to maintain the lead.

Montana Tech will welcome No. 20-ranked Rocky Mountain to Kelvin Sampson Court for a 2 p.m. Frontier Conference contest.
