BUTTE -- Despite 15 kills from
Payton Treadwell and 13 kills and four blocks out of
Kinnidi Willmore, the Montana Tech volleyball team dropped a 23-25, 25-23, 25-21, 25-20 decision to Frontier Conference foe MSU-Northern Saturday night inside Valley Bank Arena.
The Orediggers (10-7, 6-5 Frontier) found themselves down in the early going, but behind Treadwell's seven first-set kills, came back to take the opener.
MSU-Northern (9-8, 7-4) rebounded to win the following three sets and the match.
Macy Uffelman led the Skylights with 15 kills, while Lexi Jones made nine blocks.
Rhys Layton dished out a season-high 49 assists for Tech, and
Emmy Green and
Austin Long dug out 15 attacks apiece.
Montana Tech will look to rebound Wednesday with a trip to Dillon for a matchup at Montana Western. First serve will go off at 7 p.m.
