MARION, Ind. -- Montana Tech's track & field teams finished out the 2024-25 season with three more top-15 finishes at the NAIA outdoor championships Friday afternoon at Indiana Wesleyan University.
Sophomore
Nicolo Lancini highlighted the day for the Orediggers with his 11th-place finish in the men's triple jump. Lancini jumped 14.51 meters on his first jump of the day to set the mark. It was his third-career nationals appearance and his second on the outdoor stage, all in the triple jump.
Abby Clark, a senior from Fort Benton, closed out her collegiate outdoor career with a 1.61m women's high jump, putting her in a tie for 14th. It was the end of a busy week for Clark, who earned All-America honors with her third-place finish in the heptathlon Wednesday and Thursday.
Cade VanVleet, a junior from Noxon, wrapped up his national meet with 15th in the men's shot put. His third and final throw of the afternoon went 16.29m. VanVleet was the runner-up in the discus Thursday and took 16th in the hammer throw Wednesday.
Both the Oredigger men and women finished with eight points on the meet. The women tied for 31st with that score, while the men checked in deadlocked for 34th. British Columbia swept the team championships.
