HELENA -- After leading the No. 16-ranked Montana Tech women's basketball team to a perfect weekend, Orediggers junior
Chloe Larsen landed the Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference offensive player of the week award, the league office announced Tuesday morning.
Larsen, a guard from Missoula, averaged 17 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists as the Orediggers topped Eastern Oregon and No. 22 The College of Idaho last weekend at the Caldwell Classic.
The University of Montana transfer began the weekend with 22 points, seven boards, three steals, and two assists Friday in the Orediggers' 68-63 come-from-behind win over EOU, which received votes in the NAIA's preseason top 25 poll.
She followed that with a 12-point, eight-rebound effort Saturday as Tech dispatched the Yotes, 53-46. Larsen tacked on three assists and a steal in the win.
It's the first Frontier athlete of the week nod for Larsen and the Oredigger team's first of the 2026-27 season.
Montana Tech's women will be back on the road this weekend with another pair of tests at the Cattle Classic in Seward, Neb. They'll take on host and No. 10-ranked Concordia (Neb.) Friday at 4 p.m. Central, 3 Mountain. On Saturday, Tech will take on the 2026 national runner-up and second-ranked Dakota Wesleyan at 10 a.m. Central, 9 Mountain.
