2017: Saw limited action on defense. Recorded 5 total tackles (3 solo, 2 assisted). Named Academic All-American.
 
2016: Redshirted.
 
High School: Attended high school at Manhattan HS. Two-time football captain was selected All-State as a junior and senior and All-Conference three times. Will play in East-West Shrine game. Track team captain as a senior. Member of National Honor Society and named Academic All-State four times.
 
Personal: Chase, son of Stacey and Dan Barta,  pursuing a degree in Engineering.
