Coach Maguire comes to Tech from Langston University in Oklahoma where he was the Tight Ends and H-Backs Coach last year. While at Langston, the Lions finished 6-4 winning the Central States Conference Championship. Maguire coached first team All-Conference tight end Tommy Jones at Langston.

Prior to Langston, Maguire assisted with the offense for two season at the University of Montana. He was also played wide receiver for the Griz for four seasons before entering the coaching ranks. Maguire was part of the 2009 and 2011 Big Sky Championship squads. The 2009 team was also the FCS championship runner-up.

A native of Olympia, Washington, Maguire graduated from Montana with a degree in Sociology, specializing in Criminology. Â
