Khalin Anderson joined the Oredigger staff in February 2020. He currently coaches the defensive backs and is also the program's strength & conditioning coordinator.
Anderson came to Montana Tech from Sentinel High School in Missoula, where he was on staff for six seasons. From 2014-19, he was the Spartans' defensive backs coach, and he spent his final two seasons there as defensive coordinator. He also spent six seasons as the horizontal jumps coach for the Spartans' track & field team.
He spent the 2009-13 football seasons at his alma mater, Montana State University-Northern, coaching defensive backs and assisting with the strength program. Before he became a coach, Anderson played cornerback for the Lights from 2005-2009. He received three all-conference awards and one All-American honor. Anderson played and coached alongside current Montana Tech head coach Kyle Samson at MSU-Northern.
Anderson's wife, Anni, is currently a full-time instructor for the award-winning Montana Tech nursing department and also works part-time at St. James Hospital as a registered nurse. They have two daughters, Everly and Mia.
