Biography

2015: Started 2 games and appeared in 4 due to injury. Completed 22 passes on 45 attempts for 321 yards and 3 TDs, 4 interceptions. Rushed 15 times for 49 yards. Had a season high 144 yards completing 10 of 16 passes vs. College of Idaho (9/26).
 
2014: Started the final six games for the Orediggers. Completed 86 of 174 passes for 1,141 yards and 10 touchdowns. Rushed for 43 yards and a touchdown. Went 18 for 31 for 241 yards and two touchdowns; added 19 rushing yards and a score vs. Southern Oregon (11/8). Passed for 239 yards on 18-of-30 for four scores vs. MSU-Northern (10/18). Completed 20 passes for a career-best 295 yards and two touchdowns vs. Rocky Mountain (10/11).

2013: Medical redshirt after being injured in second career start. Started vs. DSU completing 26 of 40 passes for 283 yards and 1 touchdown; rushed 9 times for 2 TDs. Totaled 364 passing yards and 35 rushing yards for the season. 

High School: Selected first team All-Conference and second team All-State as a senior. Set records in total yards, most touchdown passes and highest completion percentage. Played in Montana-Dakota All-Star Game and East West Shrine Game.

Personal: Dawson, son of Kurt and Erin Johnston, is pursuing a degree in Occupational Safety and Health.
