Junior College: Brown, a 6-foot-3 guard from Spokane, Washington, played two years for coach Mike Trautman at Everett Community College. Brown led the Trojans to a record of 47-14 over the two seasons, including a 27-1 conference record and two region championships. The all-time leading scorer for Everett amassed 1,382 points. Brown also holds the record for three point field goals with 224 while shooting 41.6 percent from three point range. 

As a sophomore, Brown averaged 26.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game. He was named first team all-region as a freshman and was the Northern Region Player of the Year as a sophomore. Brown led the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) in total points (786) and three point field goals (119). He ranked 2^nd in made field goals (259) and 3^rd in made free throws (149).
