Montana Tech Athletics

Junior College: Started 16 of 31 games for coach Steve Silsby at Chandler-Gilbert CC (Ariz.). Averaged 10.7 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 1.0 apg with 45 3-pointers made in one of the best NJCAA conferences in the country. Scored in double figures in 17 games and grabbed four or more rebounds in 13 games. Played freshman season at Waubonsee CC (IL). Started 31 of 32 games, averaging 13.9 ppg, 6.3 rpg, and 2.2 apg with 75 three-point makes at over 36% shooting. Earned third team all-region and second team all-conference honors. Earned NJCAA Academic All-American honors in 2021. Graduated from Laramie HS (Wyo.) in 2019. Second team All-State and first team all-conference.

2022-23: Asa played in all 33 games for the Orediggers during their 2022-23 Frontier Conference Championship season. Asa averaged 13.6 points a game during the season, and upped that number to 14.6 points during conference play. Asa shot 43 percent from the field, and 40.5 percent from the three-point line. Asa scored in double digits the final 15 straight games of the year. Asa hit 23 points twice during the year, the first at Montana Western on Dec. 3, the second against Providence during the Frontier Conference Tournament. Asa was selected Second Team All- Frontier Conference. 

2003-24-  Asa played in all 32 games for Montana Tech this season, putting in 28.5 minutes per game. He finished the season averaging 16.3 points per game, while shooting 46.5% from the field, and 37% from the arc. He hit a season-high 31 points in the Frontier Conference Tournament Championship in a win over Carroll College. He also had a 30-point game at Eastern Oregon earlier this year. Asa was selected Frontier Conference First Team All-Conference.
