Biography
High School: Played at Fort Benton High School where he earned all-state and all-conference honors. Diekhans also won the triple jump at the MHSA Class C State Track Championships.
2021-22: Redshirted for the Orediggers appearing in 5 games.
2022-23: During his freshman season Hayden played in 33 games, helping the Orediggers win the Frontier Conference Championship. Hayden averaged 9.2 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. Hayden had a season-high 18 points against Carroll College on Jan. 5. Hayden was named to the Frontier Conference All-Defensive Team for 2022-23.Â
2023-24: Hayden played in all 32 games this season, starting in all but one. Hayden led the Frontier Conference in shooting percentage at 62.4%. He finished the season averaging 10.6 points and 6.5 rebounds a game. He put up a career-high 22 points at Vanguard University on Dec 15, 2023. He tallied another career-high this season with 14 rebounds at Montana Western on Feb 3, 2024. Hayden was selected as the Defensive Player of the Year in the Frontier Conference, along with All-Conference Honorable Mention.Â
