2024-25: Played in all 30 ballgames as the first guard off the bench, averaging 2.9 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game ... Set a new career-high with 10 points January 18 vs. Providence.

2023-24: Avery played in all but one game during her freshman season, averaging 2.5 points and 2.2 rebounds per game. She scored a season-high 9 points at Montana Western on Feb 3, 2024. 

High School: The 5-7 guard played prep at Havre HS and guided the Blue Ponies to three straight Class A State Basketball Championships. Avery is a two-time All-State and first team all-conference selection in both basketball and volleyball. She was a key component on Havre's State runner-up volleyball team this year. Avery is also an All-State and first team all-conference softball player. A captain on court and on the field, Avery is also a leader in the classroom.
 
Family: Avery is the daughter of Andy and Kristy Carlson ... Sister to Ethan.
