Box Score Butte-Westminster came to play Friday night at Kelvin Sampson Court and put down the Lady Diggers 73-55.
Sophomore center
Kelsey DeWit scored the first bucket of the night and that would be the only time Tech had the lead in the game. Tech would be down as many as fifteen in the first half but was able to get to within four at the half on a field goal from
Mandy Machinal.
Westminster started the second half with 10-4 run. Tech would get within two at 51-53 with 8:52 to play, but that would be as close as they got to Westminster the rest of the game. Westminster would go on a 20-3 run the rest of the game for a final score of 73-55.
Senior forward Dana Bates led the Griffins in scoring with 19 and had five rebounds and two assists. Bates shot 50-percent from the field. Junior Cydney Tibbitts had a double-double with 16 points and ten re bounds.
Sophomore
Bryn Hasquet led the Lady Diggers in scoring with 14. Hasquet shot 55-percent from the field and had four rebounds as well.
Dannii Devenny netted 10 points and had five rebounds and two assists. Senior Tabby Tomlinson had 10 points as well and six assists.
The Lady Diggers are home again tomorrow night at Kelvin Sampson Court when they host #4 Lewis-Clark State College Warriors at 5:30 PM. The game will be streamed online at www.godiggers.com.
